Privacy Policy

Unlike many online financial tools, the OvertimeIQ calculator engine operates entirely within your browser's local memory (client-side). When you enter your hourly rate, salary or hours, they are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers or to our analytics tools.

If you use Share link, your inputs are written into the link you copy, so anyone you send it to can see them. We remove those values from the page address we report to Google Analytics.

2. Google AdSense & Third-Party Cookies

To keep our overtime calculators free for workers, our platform is monetized via Google AdSense and similar advertising networks.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or by utilizing network opt-out tools at aboutads.info.
• Google AdSense may load advertising scripts globally across our pages so ads can be reviewed and served consistently under Google's publisher requirements.
• Where required, Google's Privacy & Messaging tools provide GDPR consent messages and US state privacy controls for Google AdSense advertising choices. Our own cookie settings control Google Analytics only, not Google AdSense advertising cookies.

3. Ahrefs Web Analytics

Ahrefs Web Analytics loads by default on OvertimeIQ. Ahrefs describes Web Analytics as cookie-free, not based on persistent identifiers, and not collecting or storing personal or identifiable data by default.

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand aggregate page performance, referral traffic, browser and device categories, landing pages, possible 404s, outbound link clicks, content quality, and site reliability. We do not use Ahrefs Web Analytics to track your calculator inputs.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which calculators and features are used, so we know what to improve. It loads after each page has finished loading and uses Google Consent Mode:

• In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets no cookies unless you accept them in our banner. Until then it sends only cookieless signals that Google uses for aggregate reporting.
• Everywhere else, analytics cookies are on by default and you can turn them off at any time.
• Events record actions such as sharing a result or switching to day-by-day entry, never the numbers you entered.

Change your choice with Cookie settings in the footer of any page. Your choice is saved in your browser.

5. Essential Browser Storage

We use your browser’s local storage to remember your Google Analytics choice and, if you minimize it, to hide the Digital Katalyst panel for 14 days. This is separate from Google AdSense advertising choices, which are handled through Google’s privacy message where required.

6. Contact and project forms

If you write to us through the contact page or the “Start a project” form, we receive your name, email address and message by email so we can reply. Project inquiries go to Digital Katalyst, the studio that builds and runs this site. We do not add you to a mailing list or pass your details to anyone else.

7. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

If you are a resident of California, you hold rights under the CCPA to request disclosure of data collection and deletion of your data. OvertimeIQ has no accounts and keeps no personal information apart from messages you send us, which we will delete on request. We do not sell your personal data.
